Churchill Society granted Intervenor Status in Foreign Interference Commission

The Churchill Society for the Advancement of Parliamentary Democracy was granted intervenor status in the Public Inquiry into Foreign Interference in Federal Electoral Processes and Democratic Institutions by Commissioner the Hon. Marie-Josée Hogue.

The Commission’s is mandated to examine and assess the interference by China, Russia and other foreign states or non-state actors, including any potential impacts, in order to confirm the integrity of, and any impacts on, the 43rd and 44th general elections (2019 and 2021 elections) at the national and electoral district levels.

The CSAPD will make submissions in accordance with its mission to honour the life of Sir Winston Churchill by facilitating education, discussion and debate about Canada’s parliamentary democracy.
